Mathieu NÉVÉOL
Interviews with Mathieu Névéol
Mathieu, you are in charge of making violins; can you tell us more about it?
You mention a manufacturing process, a jealously guarded know-how; can you explain it to us?
The Art of Violin Harmonization
Each violin has its own history, a demanding woodworking process, a living material with a singular texture and plasticity. Through trial and error, intuition and hard work, I have learned to master the delicate balance between the thickness of the vibrating plates and the thickness of the instrument as a whole.
Each violin I create is unique, with a complex, balanced sound.
